Sam Rathling, Vi Ambassador and mother of three from Ireland, is back in the headlines with her recent feature in UK’s Chat Magazine.
In it she describes how her weight spiraled out of control after having kids. The combination of skipping breakfast, eating unhealthy snacks (while also snacking on her kids’ leftovers), and having large meals at the end of the day led her to a weight that made her hate mirrors. “I wouldn’t look. I hated what I saw,” Sam admitted.
Her life did a 180 when she set a goal to lose 50 lbs. over two Challenges. “I swapped my non-existent breakfast for a morning [Vi-Shape] shake and then the same for lunch. I’d eat a healthy meal for dinner and, when I felt peckish, I’d snack on a Nutra-Cookie,” Sam explained.
Aside from being over 40 lbs. lighter, Sam’s whole outlook and spirit has changed for the better. “I now have the energy to go to the gym and Zumba classes,” she said. And what she has lost in weight, she has gained in confidence, happily stating, “I look and feel like a new person!”
